Who We Are
Dr. Shannon R. Cummins, D.M.D.
Dr. Cummins is a Springfield, IL native and has spent over 30 years serving the dental needs of our community. He graduated from Griffin High School in 1979 and went to undergrad at Benedictine College and received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. He proceeded to go to SIU School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1987 with his D.M.D. He has three grown children and enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, hunting and fishing.
Dr. Ethan M. Duewer, D.M.D.
Dr. Duewer grew up in Edwardsville, IL. Dr. Duewer is passionate about dentistry and doing his best to serve the people in the community. Additionally, he is interested in mission work and looks forward to future opportunities. He graduated from SIUE with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to SIU School of Dental Medicine to receive his D.M.D. in 2017. He is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also is an active member of his local church and enjoys spending time with his church family.
Dr. Vincent M. Israel, D.M.D.
Cummins Dental Group is excited to share that we will be adding another dentist starting January, 2022. Dr. Israel, a Springfield native, graduated from Glenwood High School and studied at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where he played collegiate football while obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. Dr. Israel began his career practicing in Osage Beach, MO at Lake of the Ozarks for the past 3 years. He is dedicated to serving his community and providing care with compassion. He and his family are lifelong members of Christ the King Church. He enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and camping with family and friends. We are thankful and looking forward to introducing Dr. Israel to the practice!
